Don’t worry though – you don’t have to climb it. More sweat = more frequent salt intake. Rehydrate a lot – water first! If you wear cheap socks they’ll rub away. When you reach the mountain you can park in a car park right at the base of Ben Nevis (parking costs just 3 GBP / 3.94 USD). It’s the best local (ish) prep you’ll be able to get and it serves as a great practice ground.
